Android vs iOS

Android and iOS are sprinting for the first position. If I were asked what to choose between the two, the quick answer comes as iOS products. However, today the line between Android and iOS is rapidly blurring. With success of Samsung Galaxy S4 brand identity of Android is growing. It is also necessary to know that Android and iOS are not the only players, but they are definitely dominant in the mobile space. Android is most commonly used smartphone with many different mobile brands and on the flipside iOS is only used on Apple devices. The market share in the US is much closer whereas in other countries like India, Android dominates the market.
With the launch of iOS 7, the race is now raging rigorously. Android too is rumoured to launch Android 4.4 KitKat this October along with Nexus 5 and Nexus 11. The features of the Android will be confirmed with its launch. As per the current status, Mobile expert Steve Cheney suggests that iOS7 advancements put iOS 7 around 18 to 24 months ahead of Android.
iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S has been launched and will hit the store on September 28, 2013. One is cheaper than never before and other is faster than never before. Apple’s new 64-bit A7 processor is 2 times faster than ever, delivering a 2X on CPU and 2X on GPU and levelling the processing requirement of Mac apps with iPhone.
If iOS boasts of its dedicated game centre (not available with android), flash and Java support is installed only in Android. iOS is far ahead with its 250,000 apps as compared to 70,000 Android apps.

Being HungryLLL

I seriously want to know very much that who has invented this fasting system in India and why? I mean how anyone can even think that being hungry can give you good fortune or good husband or good health or anything good that you desire. I mean hunger has only given me head ache and I find many people who get acidity due to hunger.
I have seen many people fasting at home and elsewhere. Like “agyaras” – 11th day of every month as per Indian calendar, than they do “sravan mahina” and 4.5 months, or simply any day of the week like, every Monday or Tuesday will be fast.
Now there are different versions of fasting by different communities. Once I was at one of my uncle’s place who was fasting for whole month. There they cooked Farali khichdi, moriya, wafers, fried pea nuts, rajgra puri, farali kadhi, farali dhokla Farali Bhajiya and Siro of Rajgro too. Wow.! I would love to do this kind of fast. Is it fast actually? And they always say (boast), “I always do this fast. I perform so many fasts in a year”. Well ok if this is what that eat in fasting, I was just thinking what they had it in regular lunch and dinner.?
Again there’s one uncle who do weekly fast i.e. Mondays. In lunch, He had 2 sabjis, dal, rice, raita, roti, khaman, patra and salad. Both were gala lunch that people seldom have in their routine meals. Uncles – Spare me. It’s fast only I know and respect their way of fasting it’s only that I fail to understand their version of fasting.
Once we were on office picnic. In office we always have people from different communities and during our journey we were discussing about one such topic “fasting”, I don’t know why. We had two Jain girls who started sharing or rather boasting about their and their families’ fasting capacities. One of the girl said that someone from her family had done 18 fasts at a stretch. The other immediately said that her someone has done 21 day fasts. Now let me tell you in Jainism, during fast they don’t eat or drink anything. After sun set they don’t even drink water. 21 DAYS WITHOUT EVEN WATER – I would prefer to commit suicide instead of even thinking about doing this. I respect their capacities and the religion a lot. In fact one of my best friends is Jain. But again I fail to understand their version of fasting too. I mean it’s like punishment and we do not have food scarcity. Why should I punish my body and my senses so much? Alright I know to control the senses and all. But is it necessary and what’s the ROI? I simply don’t want to control any of my senses except anger. And sometimes I don’t mind being angry too. After all, the King and the Pawns all go to the same box after the play.
Even my mother and sister are obsessed with fasting. They say fasting will please god. I say what about “Ana Devta”? Would not he be angry if you don’t eat anything? I think he will be. So I always eat on time and please him a lot. After all I am his devotee all my life and can eat as much and as many times to please him.
But this fasting really works who has faith. For me it never worked as there’s no faith. Hence I would like to have a measuring system to know how do this fasts actually works. I know many have fulfilled their wishes through severe fastings. But I am not sure whether their wishes were fulfilled by fasting or the Law of Attraction? When you want something from all the deepness of your heart, everything on earth help you in getting it. As said by Paulo Coelho in Alchemist and Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om and also proved by the scientist who believes in Law of Attraction.

To know the actual working system behind this is difficult. But everyone has their own version of belief – some say the fasting had pleased god and hence their wish was fulfilled, I say it’s the Law of attraction. Whatever it may be, “Eat and let everyone eat”. By all the blessing of almighty my husband also believes in same. I am spared in short.

Fly @ Goa

Life is very busy. Lots to achieve and lots to conquer; lots of time is required in targets to meet and relatives to meet. Most of the time, energy and effort are spent in juggling for work life balance. A week’s break with your spouse and kids or friends is inevitable to bring the enormous energy needed for keeping this balance. Me and my husband believe that everyone should take a week’s off, pack their bags and set off to a new destination at least once a year. And this year our destination was Goa.

As we speak of “Goa”, the first pictures that most people visualize are beaches, drinks, casinos, pubs, camp fires at beach and party. And yes, Goa is exactly that and more to that. It will soothe you and intoxicate you by either the ‘Flower power’ available there or by the exotic beaches and groves. Goa is heaven for sea food lovers. I being vegetarian was also not condemned. Apart from vegetarian even Gujarati food was available cueing the omnipresence of the Gujaratis. Amusing or not, the streets were empty, shops closed at the day time, but the city is breathing at nights with lots of music and luminosity. Tito’s is the most famous pub at Baga beach and Condolim beach in the north Goa is my favorite beach. It is a little stretch of paradise which is much quieter and cleaner. The scrub covered dunes at the back of the beach adds to the beauty of the sands and the waters.

What intoxicated me in Goa is parasailing. My husband is fond of water sport and I ridicule them. Heights scare me. But he was stubborn and wanted to take me for para-sailing ignoring my reluctance and fears. Wearing the life jacket, the water bike was ready to take us at the steamer for parasailing. The waters of the Arabian Sea are tempestuous making the bike ride nothing short of the roller coaster ride. Here the tides rose to 5 to 7 ft or more at times making three of us vertical in poster giving more enjoyment to my husband and the rider. My scream and fears became their background music and reasons to laugh. Finally we reached the steamer but it gave me no relief as it was equally thrilling. The steamer was big that can occupy 10 to 12 people. A big colorful parachute lay at the forecastle. It was tied to the thick rope that went into a steel pipe. The water bikers were bringing 2 people at a time and we have to wait till the steamer is occupied. It was more embarrassing when I found that kids of the age 10 to 15 came for parasailing with full confidence. I was still denying going but my husband was too stubborn to listen. Harnessing ourselves, we climbed the forecastle where parachute was appended to the harness. Me and my husband were together in one parachute. The steamer increased the speed leaving us in the air. Just as when we fly kites we keep releasing rope slowly from string spool, the rope was released slowly increasing our height and my fears. In few minutes the altitude rose to 100 to 150 feet. The roars of the waters and the steamer elude leaving both of us mesmerized by the altitude and serenity. The panic and the multimillions thoughts that were passing through my head stopped, as if I am meditating. At the top, I can see the curve at the horizon the blue sea getting darker into the deep, the green dunces at the far end and the Western Ghats at the other side.  Except for the light sound of the wind, it was silent and captivating. Time has stopped and the though in constant motion i did not feel a single move. I could not do more but thank for this enthralling experience. I missed my camera, as I could have the best clicks from this angle. Time up and we started descending towards the steamer.

For me Goa was best remembered for the 10 minutes when I was at the top, serene and accomplished and the world was down there, bustling and strident.

Smart Indian MOM ! Please read this true story !!! Mom comes to visit her son Kumar for dinner
who lives with a girl roommate Sunita. During the course of the meal, his mother couldn't help but notice how pretty Kumar's roommate was.
She had long been suspicious of a relationship between the two, and this had only made her more curious.
Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between Kumar and his roommate than met the eye. Reading his mom's thoughts, Kumar volunteered, 'I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Sunita and I are just roommates. 'About a week later, Sunita came to Kumar saying, 'Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the silver plate. You don't suppose she took it, do you?
'Kumar said, 'Well, I doubt it, but I'll email her, just to be sure. 'So he sat down and wrote:

Dear Mother: I'm not saying that you 'did' take the silver plate from my house, I'm not saying that you 'did not' take the silver plate.
But the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were
here for dinner.
Love, Kumar

A few days later, Kumar received an email from his Mother which read
Dear Son: I'm not saying that you 'do' sleep with Sunita, and I'm not saying that you 'do not' sleep with Sunita. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her OWN bed, she would have found the silver plate by now under the pillow.
Love, Mom

Lesson of the day: Don't Lie to Your Mother...... especially if she is Indian !
